Firefighters were called to a home in Cobourg on Sunday after a fire broke out in a garage.
The fire broke out at around 3 p.m. at a home on Parkview Hills Drive.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the garage.
Nine people were inside the home at the time of the fire, when neighbours notified them of the flames.
