It happened near 16th Avenue and Mary Avenue around 2 a.m. According to neighbours, the driver allegedly hit the gas instead of the brake, losing control of the SUV and crashing into a fence outside a home.

A parked vehicle was also struck in the course of the accident.

The woman was taken to hospital, but her injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening. The two children were not harmed.
