Saskatoon homeowners capture man accused of breaking into their garage

A man accused of breaking into a garage was held by the homeowners until Saskatoon police arrived.

Officers were called to the 1400-block of 2nd Avenue North at around 9:15 p.m. CT on Tuesday for a break and enter.

They arrived to find a man being held by three people.

The homeowners told officers that when they came home, they saw two men run out from their garage.

They said they found the man during a search of the back alley behind their home and held him until officers arrived.

The 23-year-old man, who police said is known to them, was arrested and a search turned up break and enter tools.

He has been charged with break and enter, and possession of break and enter tools.
