A four-year-old child and her grandmother were rushed to hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a car in southwest Calgary.
EMS said the grandmother was in life-threatening condition after being struck. Police said she remained in such condition as of 4:30 p.m.
An EMS spokesperson said the child was in stable, non-life-threatening condition, but suffered multiple serious injuries. Police said she has since been upgraded to serious condition.

Police said it happened at about 9 a.m. at Millbank Drive and Millrise Drive S.W.
Police said the vehicle involved in the incident, a 2012 Hyundai Tucson, remained at the scene and the intersection was shut down as the reconstruction team investigated.
Global News was told the driver was a teenage boy by family members, but police said he was 25 years old.
Police are investigating speed and sun glare as factors in the collision.
