CALGARY- The hunt is on for whoever targetted Calgary’s iconic Peace Bridge.
Four panels of tempered glass were broken along the walkway: two at the north entrance along Memorial Drive, and two on the west side near the downtown entrance.
The city believes the destruction happened early last week. Thanks to surveillance footage, investigators have clear images of those responsible.
“This is public property, and going forward if we are able to find these individuals we will be seeking damages on behalf of Calgarians, on behalf of taxpayers to make sure they are not on the hook for the cost of this work,” says Sean Somers from City of Calgary Transportation.
