CALGARY- Police forces around the world will be going high-tech on Friday, participating in a tweet-a-thon to bring awareness to the use of social media by law enforcement.

Nearly 100 agencies from Canada, the U.S., U.K., Sweden, Iceland and Australia will take part, including the Calgary Police Service.
The CPS plans to tweet real time events between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., giving general locations and details about calls.
