Orangeville man dies in crash involving dump truck, 5 vehicles

Ontario Provincial Police say a 37-year-old Orangeville man has died after a multi-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.

Police said emergency crews were called to Highway 10 and County Road 109 in Caledon at 4:50 p.m. after a dump truck and five vehicles collided.

OPP said in a statement the man, who has been identified as Thomas Ernest Joseph Mason, died at the scene. Seven other people had minor injuries after the crash.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the collision.

Officers closed parts of Highway 10, Mccanell Avenue and Country Road 109 for the investigation.
