A massive three-alarm townhouse fire in the Aldergrove area of Langley sent two people to hospital and displaced several others Wednesday morning.
Flames were sparked at the townhouse on 31A Avenue near 271st Street just after midnight.
RCMP say the fire is considered suspicious and one resident says it sounded like a bomb had gone off right before the fire started.

The explosion was so powerful it shook the whole complex.
Langley Drug Section has now assumed conduct of the investigation as police believe there may have been a butane extraction site established in the centre garage.
When first responders arrived they found two men in the middle garage suffering from severe burns.

One of the men was transported by air and the other by ground ambulance. No other injuries were reported.
Several people, along with five cats, were rescued from the units.
Police are currently waiting for a structural engineer to attend and determine if entry to the site is safe.
The two neighbouring units were both heavily damaged by the fire and it’s unclear if they will be habitable again.
