The Eskimos will visit the Toronto Argonauts on Saturday. The team will look to end a four-game losing streak. Quarterback Mike Reilly says the way the team played in the Labour Day rematch is much closer to what the team is capable of.
“We’re past Calgary, we’ve put that film to bed and it’s been all about Toronto,” Reilly said. “I like where our team’s at this week a lot more than I did the previous week. I think we played with that emotion that maybe we were lacking in the previous couple of games and that confidence. Just coming out and giving ourselves the opportunity to win a football game at the end.”
Defensive back Johnny Adams practiced on Tuesday after missing two games with a shoulder injury. Safety Neil King and running back Travon Van are possible for Saturday.
The Eskimos made several roster moves on Tuesday by signing international defensive backs Devin Smith and Ahmad Dixon, along with national fullback James Tuck.
Smith played two seasons for the Toronto Argonauts, recording 90 defensive tackles, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries, one quarterback sack and seven special teams tackles.
Dixon attended Eskimos training camp and was released following camp, he played in two pre-season games.
Tuck was signed two weeks ago and played on Labour Day against the Calgary Stampeders, he was released last week. The Eskimos have released international defensive lineman Darius Allen and International linebacker Jeremiah Kose.
