One man is dead after an industrial accident at the University of Toronto’s St. George Campus.
Toronto police say emergency crews found two men suffering from injuries when they arrived at St. George and Russell Street just before 10:00 a.m.
“The information we were given is that it involved the collapse of some scaffolding in an elevator shaft,” Const. Craig Brister told AM 640.

A man in his 50s, who was struck by a heavy object that fell on him, was pronounced dead on scene.
The second man sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics.
The Ministry of Labour is now investigating.
