The Peterborough Lakers are Major Series Lacrosse champions.
The Lakers captured their 25th league title on Thursday night with a 9-7 win over the Six Nations Chiefs in game five of the MSL Final.

Adam Jones and Zach Currier had two goals each.
Shawn Evans had a goal and three assists to finish at the playoffs leading scorer. Following the game, Evans was named most valuable player for the playoffs.
The Lakers will now head west to British Columbia to take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies in the Mann Cup which starts on September 8th.
