Youth shot in Exhibition, Saskatoon police search for suspects

A boy was rushed to a Saskatoon hospital Thursday afternoon after being shot in the Exhibition neighbourhood.

Saskatoon police said it happened in the 2200-block of St. Charles Avenue.

Officers arrived to find the 15-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to Royal University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been released from hospital.

There was a heavy police presence in the area as officers searched for suspects.

No one is in custody at this time.

Investigators are now pursuing various leads including surveillance video.

It was the second time this week a youth was shot in Saskatoon.

A 16-year-old boy was shot early Tuesday morning in the 200-block of Tache Crescent.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was last reported to be in stable condition.
