“This isn’t the wild west,” said Judge Darryl Labach.

Mazurkewich was arrested Dec. 19, 2012, after police responded to a report of a person with a handgun, which had been reportedly shown to another patron at a Market Mall lounge around 2:30 p.m. that day.

He was allegedly found with a black replica pellet handgun tucked into the front of his jacket. A second similar weapon was allegedly found in a holster he was wearing.

Mazurkewich received 605 votes in October’s civic election, finishing a distant third behind winner Don Atchison and Tom Wolf.
