Habs talk hockey, play golf for a good cause

Cautious optimism reigned among the Montreal Canadiens who made an early public appearance at the second annual Captain’s Tournament.

Coach Claude Julien said the team would work on finding good chemistry as it experimented with different lines and new players like Jonathan Drouin.

There was also the golf tournament. Last year’s edition raised almost $150,000. This year’s version was expected to raise even more money.

The proceeds will be split between the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation and Max Pacioretty’s own charitable foundation.

Organizers said Pacioretty’s foundation plans to use the funds to buy a new MRI machine for the Montreal General Hospital.
