Police were called to disperse a crowd, after a party got out of hand in Villeray Park in Montreal Saturday night.
Police spokesperson Manuel Couture said that a group of young people — between 50 to 100 youth — wanted to join the party.
“Security blocked them from entering the site,” Couture said, adding the event was a private party.
A verbal altercation between the security guards and the youth ensued, and police were called in to intervene.
Police dispersed the crowd and arrested a 17-year-old boy for allegedly assaulting an officer.
Two security agents suffered minor injuries, after objects were hurled in their direction.
Couture said that one car was also damaged during the night’s events.
