Winnipeg police are asking anyone who may have video of the truck and trailer used in a fatal hit and run on Aug. 3 to contact them.
A woman in her 60’s was struck and killed around 11:30 a.m. on Marion Street between Traverse Avenue and Braemar Avenue.

“So this wasn’t a case of somebody getting clipped by a trailer and the driver not knowing about it, we believe this driver fully knows what happened,” Cst. Jay Murray said Tuesday morning.
Police believe the suspect truck and trailer traveled through the Sargent Park, Minto area at approximately 11 a.m. followed by a section of Harkness Avenue and Main Street near Queen Elizabeth Way before the fatal crash.
The truck is described as a black Dodge 1500 Crew Cab and the trailer was a black, wedge enclosed unit manufactured by Stealth Trailers.
“Investigators are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating any video footage that may have captured the truck and trailer on private cameras, such as dash cameras,” Murray said. He hopes video will help them identify the driver of the suspect vehicle.
“We believe the truck was mobile between 11 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.,” Murray said.

Both the truck and trailer have since been recovered. The truck was found in the Dufrense area in St. Boniface around noon and the trailer was located in the “central St. Boniface neighborhood a short time later on the same day”.
Police said the suspect vehicle is believed to be directly related to a crime that occurred earlier in the day, but couldn’t give anymore details regarding the prior incident.
