A 21-year-old man has been charged after the Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said a laser was pointed at a police helicopter Sunday night.
According to police, the crew in an EPS helicopter advised someone was pointing a green laser at them at around 11:20 p.m. They said it appeared to be coming from a balcony at Jasper Avenue and 85 Street and officers on the ground went looking for the suspect.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with endangering the safety or security of an aircraft in flight and endangering the safety of an aircraft (airspace hazard).
He was released on a promise to appear in court.
