Flames were coming from the kitchen window when crews arrived at the Priest Valley Drive home shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The occupants, a woman and her daughter, were outside when fire fighters arrived.
Fire damage was isolated to the kitchen but there was also heavy smoke damage through the home.
The occupants told officials that the fire started in the kitchen but they don’t know why.
