The second person who was in a car that was involved in a head-on crash with a stolen truck in west Edmonton Monday has died, officials said.
A 64-year-old man who was driving the car died at the scene. A 62-year-old woman was taken to hospital but died from her injuries on Tuesday.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) is investigating the collision because it happened after a police chase.

Edmonton police said officers were following a truck reported stolen at 170 Street and 87 Avenue at around 8 p.m. Monday.
The vehicle was followed west of the city in the area of Winterburn Road. Police said the situation eventually entered into a “criminal flight” at Whitemud Drive.
Police said officers stopped the pursuit once the truck began driving on the wrong side of the road. A short time later, the truck collided head on with a car.
Police said three suspects were apprehended after attempting to run away from the stolen truck. They weren’t injured.
Edmonton police will conduct the main criminal investigation into the conduct of the driver and occupants of the stolen vehicle, ASIRT said.
On Wednesday, police said three people had been charged in connection with the fatal crash.
Zachary James Grogan, 32, was charged with two counts each of failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving death, flight from a peace officer causing death, dangerous driving causing death and one count of possession of stolen property over $5,000.
Alisha Grace Roode, 27, is charged with two counts each of possession of an identity document, possession of identity information and one count each of possession of stolen property over $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance.
Trent James Ferris, 29, is charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000 and assaulting a peace officer.
Investigators are still trying to identify a fourth suspect, a man, who ran away from the scene after the crash, EPS said.
