Officers were called to an apartment building in the 1900 block of 11 Avenue S.W. at 6:35 p.m. for reports that a man had been shot in one of the units.

The man, in his 30s, was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition. His condition was later upgraded to serious but stable, according to police.

One resident who lives in the building tells Global News police have been called multiple times in the past year and a half.

“Bad people move out and then bad people move in. It’s just a vicious circle,” he said.

Police said three men were seen leaving the scene in a blue-coloured 2017 Jeep Cherokee.

A man driving a similar vehicle later attended the Victoria Park police station. On Wednesday, police said the driver had identified himself as a witness.

Police confirmed Wednesday the vehicle they were seeking had been located, and a warrant is being sought for further examination of it.
