Two London teens are facing charges in the theft of a “kindness” meter” from Ivey Park earlier this week.
London Police say a 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl, both from London, were charged with theft under $5,000 after someone tipped them off on Thursday.

“Less than a week after launching the Kindness Meter initiative in London, one of the five repurposed parking meters was stolen from Ivey Park on Monday,” said London police Const. Sandasha Bough.
“These meters, located in downtown parks across the city, collect donations for local community groups dedicated to providing services and resources to individuals experiencing poverty and/or homelessness.”
Police say the meter hasn’t been recovered yet, but they’re thanking the public for their help in the case.
Other meters are located in Victoria Park, West Lions Park, Piccadilly Park, and Mitchell A. Baran Park.
