York Regional Police have laid charges after identifying a man who officers allege committed an indecent act in front of a nine-year old girl at a grocery store in Markham.
The incident occurred in the McCowan Road and Bur Oak Avenue area on Saturday June 10th at around 1:30 p.m.
Police said a father and daughter were separated for a short period of time while in the grocery store. During that split, police said an older man can be seen following her. The man eventually began to speak to the girl apparently telling her his name was “George” before exposing himself and instructing her not to tell anyone what he did.
