The New Brunswick Liberals remain in the lead in decided voter support, but that lead has dropped slightly, according to a recent poll.
The poll, conducted from May 3 to 31 by Corporate Research Associates, found the Liberals had dropped to 46 per cent support from decided voters, compared to 51 per cent in February.

Meanwhile the province’s opposition parties saw ups and downs in their support.
- The Progressive Conservatives increased three points to 33 per cent
- The Green Party sit at six per cent
- The NDP, who don’t have a seat in the House, sit at 11 per cent
- The People’s Alliance of New Brunswick, who also don’t hold a seat, increased by one point to three per cent
Government performance also saw response from the survey, with just over one-half of New Brunswickers saying they were satisfied — sitting at 53 per cent, though it was a drop of two per cent from the last poll. Four in 10 are dissatisfied, while seven per cent did not give an opinion.
The leaders of each political party also saw varying results in terms of voter preference.
- Premier Brian Gallant lost four points, dropping him to 31 per cent
- PC leader Blaine Higgs increased by one percentage to 23 per cent
- Green Party leader David Coon sits at 11 per cent
- NDP interim leader Rosaire L’Italien dropped from eight per cent to five
- People’s Alliance leader Kris Austin also has five per cent.
- Five per cent prefer none of the leaders
- 19 per cent don’t give a definite opinion
The number of undecided voters has risen to 36 per cent, while four per cent won’t state a preference and three per cent support none of the parties or don’t plan to vote.

The results are based on a sample of 804 adult New Brunswickers and overall results are accurate to within +/- 3.5 percentage points 95 out of 100 times.
