Man sent to hospital in critical condition after crash in North End involving stolen car

One person was rushed to hospital in critical condition Tuesday morning after a serious crash in Winnipeg’s North End involving a stolen vehicle.

Police say the stolen car crashed into a Canada Post truck, sending both vehicles into a convenience store on Selkirk Avenue and Parr Street.

The man driving the stolen vehicle was taken to hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to stable condition.

The Canada Post driver was also taken to hospital and is in stable condition.

Officers were called to the crash around 3 a.m. and blocked off Selkirk Avenue from Arlington Street and McKenzie Street.

Police are still on scene investigating.
