A Kelowna man bought a winning 6-49 ticket on May 17, which also happened to be his birthday.
“It was a great birthday present,” David McLeod said about his $1 million dollar win. “I texted the picture of the validation slip to my wife to confirm what I was seeing.”

McLeod putchased the ticket at the Safeway Gas Bar in Dawson Creek.
“I’m going to pay off my mortgage first,” McLeod said. “Then I’m going to donate to the Rotary and and help out my kids with university.”
