Nova Scotia election: Liberal Suzanne Lohnes-Croft keeps seat in Lunenburg

Liberal incumbent Suzanne Lohnes-Croft has kept her seat in Lunenburg.

Lohnes-Croft was elected in 2013 with 37.81 per cent and served as a backbencher under the Liberal government.

On Tuesday, she kept her seat with 39.5 per cent of the vote.

Prior to being elected, she worked at a daycare as an early childhood educator.

Before she was elected, the riding was held by the NDP in 2009, while the PCs held the riding for four consecutive elections from 1998 to 2009.

The riding was re-created in 1993 after being abolished in 1956. It includes the towns of Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, New Germany, Riverport and Blockhouse.
