Hamilton police issue Safety Alert after Lime Ridge Mall sex assault

Hamilton police are investigating a reported sexual assault at Lime Ridge Mall and have issued a Safety Alert for other potential female victims.

A woman told police that she was sexually assaulted by a man while she was walking through the parking lot shortly after 7:00 p.m. Monday.

Police say the suspect is described as middle eastern, about 40-years-old, 5’6″ to 5’7″, and has short hair on the sides and is balding on top.

Police say he was wearing shorts and a T-shirt and was carrying a white plastic bag.

Investigators say the suspect also had a slight accent and was seen driving a red, late-model passenger vehicle.

Police are asking any witnesses in the area to call them or Crime Stoppers.
