Police are looking to identify a suspect after an 80-year-old man was robbed outside an ATM in downtown Toronto on Monday.
It happened around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Yonge and Bloor streets. Police say the senior had withdrawn cash and was leaving the bank when he was approached by a man asking for spare change.
Police said the victim, who uses a walker, wanted to help and started searching his jacket pocket for change.
“At this point, the man reached into the basket of the 80-year-old man’s walker, stole his wallet, and fled the area,” police alleged in a news release Tuesday.
