Cocaine seized in Saskatoon drug trafficking bust

Three people have been charged with trafficking after cocaine was seized in a Saskatoon drug bust.

Members of the Saskatoon integrated drug enforcement street team (SIDEST) initially arrested two men, 29 and 47, on March 23.

A search of the 47-year-old man turned up 6.8 grams of cocaine and $560 in cash.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested the following day.

Three homes were then searched as part of the arrests.

Officers seized more than 33 grams of cocaine and just under $19,000 at a home in the 400-block of Kingsmere Boulevard.

A search of a home in the 300-block of Marlatte Street turned up drug packaging, scales and cutting agents.

The three are facing a number of charges including cocaine trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.
