Looking for a job in the St. Thomas area? Employment Services Elgin will hold a job fair Wednesday morning, featuring 27 employers offering a mix of full and part-time positions.

The fair is taking place at the St. Thomas Seniors Centre, 225 Chestnut Street, St. Thomas from 9 to 11 a.m.

“Come as if this is an interview,” said job developer Marie Forcier.

“Be dressed for an interview, come with a copy of your resume, bring a smile. Meet with everyone. You may see an employer and think ‘well, I don’t know if they’re hiring me,’ just go up an talk to them because you just never know where that can lead to.”

Employers including Railway City Brewery Company and North Star Windows will be on site, as well as other groups in the retail, administration, customer service, manufacturing, landscaping, and food services.

“You may have some people come in such as Ever Terra Farms, who may be looking for some seasonal work, then we’ll get the Roadhouse that will be coming in and be looking for students to take over the summer jobs,” said Forcier.

She expects between 300 and 400 people to attend Wednesday’s job fair.
