A group of UBC-Okanagan golfers is hoping an upcoming fundraising event will save the 2017 season.
The fundraiser was organized after the university cut the golf program in mid-February because of budget constraints.
The program had been in place for almost 10 years.

Called the ‘Battle of the Valley’, the wine tasting fundraiser will take place on Friday, March 24 at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club. It starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by calling Cheryl at 250-762-2531, extension 226.
The students are hoping to raise $10,000 from the event.
