Gaz Métro officials are on Drummond Street, near Montreal’s Bell Centre, after part of the alleyway leading to de la Montagne Street started slumping Tuesday.
The company said it is not commenting on the situation, and is on site as a preventative measure as the infrastructure is secure.
Officials said the problem lies within the city’s water system.

The area is partially closed to traffic.
