UPDATE: Police arrest man wanted in Toronto sex assault

Toronto police have arrested a man wanted in an alleged sexual assault at the Eaton Centre on Friday afternoon.

Investigators say the man was picked up by officers near Sherbourne Street and Gerrard East on Monday night.

When placed under arrest he gave the officers a name that was not his own. It was discovered later that he was 28 year old Omar Johnson of no fixed address.

He’s been charged with sexual assault and obstructing a peace officer.

Last Friday afternoon, police say a suspect assaulted a 21 year old woman at Eaton Centre. In the incident, the victim screamed just before the alleged perpetrator smiled and walked away.

Police are concerned there may be other victims.
