Meth, stolen vehicle seized in Prince Albert, Sask. drug bust

Two people are facing charges after police officers seized meth and recovered a stolen vehicle in Prince Albert, Sask.

Patrol officers originally went to a business in the 400-block of Marquis Road on Thursday morning for a report of a stolen vehicle in the parking lot.

Officers arrived to find two people sleeping inside the vehicle.

They were arrested and officers seized a small bag containing what is believed to be meth and an eyeglass container with pills along with consumed alcohol.

Officers also said they found a needle in a purse thought to be filled with meth.

A 24-year-old woman and a 37-year-old man are charged with unlawful possession of meth, unlawful possession of methyphenidate and breach of court orders.

The man is also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Both are scheduled to appear on Friday in Prince Albert provincial court.
