Firefighters were able to put out the fire on the main floor, and then headed to the basement, where they believe the fire started, and extinguished the rest of the flames.

The family of five that lives in the suite where the fire started was able to get out of the home safely. The neighbouring suite was also evacuated as a precaution.

No injuries were reported.
