Woman’s body found at Sacred Heart School

The body of a woman has been found at the Sacred Heart School of Montreal at 3635 Atwater Ave.

“Police officers received a call concerning the body of a woman found in the school yard,” said Montreal police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière.

He explained it is not clear yet whether foul play is involved.

“At first look, it doesn’t seem anything criminal,” he said.

Sacred Heart officials said the school is not involved “and we are being kept informed by the authorities.”

“There is no disruption to school operations,” said principal Shawn O’Donnell in a statement.

He added students and staff have been advised of the situation.

Authorities have established a perimeter around the area.
