CALGARY- Police have laid charges following a weekend assault in Royal Oak that sent a man to hospital.
Officers were called to a home in the 0 to 100 block of Royal Oak N.W. around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning following reports of an assault.
A man in his sixties was suffering from critical, life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EMS. His condition has not improved.
So far, police have not said how the victim and the offender know eachother.
Shaun Peter Desautels has been charged with uttering threats and aggravated assault.
He is due in court January 11th.
