EDMONTON – An Alberta youth charged after threats were directed at a school in Ponoka has been released on bail.
The 17-year-old is to appear in youth court in Ponoka on Jan. 9.

He was arrested after police were advised by the Wolf Creek School Board on Dec. 21 of threats involving a student at Ponoka Composite High School.
Area schools were put in lockdown while police arrested the teen at his home and seized two rifles and ammunition.
The accused faces various charges, including uttering threats.
