Recycled Christmas trees already piling up

It didn’t take long for the Christmas trees at drop-off locations in the Central Okanagan to begin piling up.
Dave Flick dropped his off at the corner of Richter and Rowcliffe near downtown Kelowna on Boxing Day.
“It gets dry, the needles are all over, the dog’s dragging them the house. Generally on Boxing Day, it’s pack it up.”
Trees dropped off at the chip-it locations are composted into GlenGrow — a soil conditioner.
If you do drop off your tree at a chip-it location, you’re asked to remove all decorations and tinsel.
