Winnipeg Mayor Sam Katz is facing another lawsuit.
Katz is being sued by Wow Hospitalities, the company that used to provide food services at Shaw Park and manage Hu’s Asian Bistro.
Hu’s, the Goldeyes and Encore Development Corporation are also named in the lawsuit.
In a statement of claim filed December 4th, the company that manages several restaurants and dinner theatres in Winnipeg claims it was not paid money owed when the defendants terminated the contract with Wow back in December 2006.

Wow claims the defendants have repeatedly refused and neglected to make the payments.
None of the allegations have been proven in court.
The Mayor and his companies have until Christmas to file a statement of defence.
Katz is also facing a court date next April in a different case: Winnipeg restaurateur Joe Chan accuses the mayor of breaking Manitoba’s Municipal Council Conflict of Interest Act by holding a 2010 city staff Christmas Party at Hu’s Asian Bistro on Ellice Ave., which Katz owned at the time.
