LETHBRIDGE- Safety City has been offering its services in Lethbridge for 17 years.
Recently the program has had its ups and downs, so the Safety City board will be dissolved and become a committee under the Lethbridge Exhibition board.
Officials say this joint effort means sustainability for the program.

“This is what the board needed to make this a viable program,” says Blaine Stodolka, president of the Safety City Society of Lethbridge. “We have been working with the exhibition for about 14 months and now we have sustainability to ensure we can continue.”
The new partnership means more programs can be added, expanding into rural safety concerns such as farm safety, ATVs and dugouts.
The exhibition says one full time staff member will be dedicated to Safety City. The new operators will take over January 1st.
