Winnipeg residential parking ban kicks off Wednesday at 7 p.m.

WINNIPEG — Some relief is on the way for drivers hoping to navigate the city’s residential streets after the holiday blizzard blanketed the city with snow.

City crews started plowing residential streets starting Wednesday evening.

The residential parking ban kicks off at 7 p.m.

Residents are urged to check their snow zone letter in order to determine when their residential street is scheduled for clearing. You can find your snow zone with the address lookup tool, by contacting 311 or by using the Know Your Zone app.

Vehicles left on the snow route could be hit with a $150 ticket and may be towed to a nearby street that is not scheduled to be plowed or already has been cleared.
