Iconic Winnipeg restaurant to close its doors

The iconic restaurant posted on its website Thursday that owner Mary Kelekis is approaching her 88th birthday. The family-owned eatery has been at the corner of Main Street and Redwood Avenue for 81 years.

The Kelekis Restaurant is known for its hot dogs, burgers and chips. Its wall-of-fame features a number of celebrity diners.
