Edmonton police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with a stabbing that took place in north Edmonton last week.
On Thursday, November 22 police were called to a lounge in the area of 118th Avenue and 101st Street, around 9:30p.m. They arrived to find a 26-year-old man suffering from a life-threatening stab wound to the chest.
Officers say the suspect and victim know each other and believe the stabbing was drug related.
Police are now looking for 33-year-old Kevin Hrynyk. Hrynyk is wanted on warrants for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon. He is described as 5′ 11″, 174 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are also asking for the public’s help in identifying a second suspect in connection with the stabbing.
The male suspect is described as caucasian, believed to be in his early 30s, approximately 160 pounds and 5’9″ tall. Police say the suspect was wearing a baby-blue-coloured jacket, with a dark-coloured hoodie underneath, white running shoes, and headphones over a ball cap on the evening of the stabbing. He is highlighted in the top left corner of the photo below.
