The kid joins two older female goats in the Canadian Wilds exhibit.

“Yukon’s father, Geronimo, was an orphan kid from the Northern Lights Wildlife Shelter in Smithers, B.C. and the zoo had an understanding with YWP that we could eventually acquire one of his offspring,” explained Jamie Dorgan, zoo area curator. “This little guy is first-generation captive-born on his sire’s side, and only a few generations on his dam’s side making him a really valuable addition to the captive population.”

Yukon is already settled into his new home, and is ready for visitors.
