A woman is facing several charges after an alleged shooting in rural Saskatchewan.

Kelvington RCMP said they received a report early Wednesday morning of a man with a possible gunshot wound.

A man was found and taken to a Saskatoon hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Police have not released details on the nature of his injuries. There is no word on his current condition.

Sheila Barber, 53, was arrested by Canora RCMP at a rural home near Rockford.

She is charged with aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent, unsafe storage of a firearm, uttering threats and using a firearm in the commission of a crime.

Barber is scheduled to appear Friday morning in Yorkton provincial court.

Police said Barber and the man are known to each other.
