Prince Albert, Sask. firefighters deal with house, car fires

Firefighters in Prince Albert, Sask., were busy Tuesday afternoon dealing with two fires.

Crews were first called to the 100-block of 31st Street at around 3:30 p.m. for a report of a structure fire.

They arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the home and a fire in the kitchen, which was quickly put out.

Crews remained on the scene to monitor for any fire extension.

The blaze has been deemed non-suspicious and the cause remains under investigation.

No damage estimate was given by fire investigators.

Two hours later, firefighters were called to River Street West for a car fire.

Crews arrived to find the vehicle engulfed in flames.

The fire was put out and the scene turned over to Prince Albert police for further investigation.

Damage is estimated at $2,000.
