After being called to a report of a burnt vehicle near Stettler, Alta. Saturday, Mounties discovered a dead person inside.
RCMP received the call at 11:43 a.m. on Dec. 10, 2016.

Now, RCMP Major Crimes unit is helping Stettler officers with the investigation.
An autopsy is scheduled to be done on Monday at the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary.
RCMP stressed the investigation is still in its early stages and asked anyone with information on the incident to call (403) 742-3382.
