‘I’ve never seen anything go up so quickly’: fire destroys home near Vernon

Flames quickly consumed a home in Parker’s Cove near Vernon just after midnight Saturday.

“I’ve never seen anything go up so quickly in my life,” neighbour Bob Grant said.

No one was home when the fire started and by the time fire crews arrive the house was fully engulfed in flames.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
