Saskatoon man turns self in to police after convenience store robbery

An 18-year-old man turned himself in to Saskatoon police this week in connection with a robbery at a convenience store.

On Nov. 29, officers were called to the business in the 2300-block of 33rd Street West. Police officials said a man and a woman stole money and then fled westbound in a white Mitsubishi vehicle.

Both suspects had their faces covered and no weapon was shown during the robbery.

No injuries were reported.

The 18-year-old Saskatoon man is now facing a charge of armed robbery. He was expected to appear in provincial court on Tuesday.

Officials said police are still searching for the second suspect.

The woman is described as being five-foot five. She was wearing a black and grey hooded jacket, black pants and white shoes with red trim.
